Specialty Classes

Students participate in a rich range of specialty classes including orchestra, Spanish, handwork, games and movement, math (math in Middle School), modeling, and Cyber Civics.

Through flute and recorder and orchestra students build musicality, focus, listening skills, and the experience of contributing their unique part to a harmonious whole.

Handwork and practical arts classes, including handwork, and modeling, help students develop fine-motor skills, perseverance, creativity, and confidence as they bring useful and beautiful projects to completion.

Cyber Civics is a specialty class focused on helping students become thoughtful, responsible digital citizens, supporting healthy technology habits and critical thinking in an increasingly online world.

Specialty subjects deepen and extend the core curriculum by engaging head, heart, and hands; supporting academic skills, artistic expression, physical development, and practical capacities across the grades.
