Our Mission

We are committed to providing an education that engages the whole child by integrating academic excellence, artistic expression, and practical life-skills. This education is based on the understanding of the development of the child as a physical, intellectual, social, and spiritual being inspired by the pedagogical principles of Waldorf Education and Rudolf Steiner’s philosophies.

We believe that every child deserves the opportunity to develop into their best self, which empowers them to do good in the world as engaged, compassionate, active members of society. Our curriculum is designed and intended to foster this striving by providing daily school experiences that spark and nurture resilient growth in their cognitive, social-emotional, and productive capacities. Working always in a purposeful and thoughtful manner, our teachers seek to see and meet each child for who they are, encouraging strength of character and social responsibility. We believe our educational program fosters the healthy, holistic development of our students to become adults who are creatively intellectual, thoughtfully artistic, and brave, compassionate citizens.

"I can't begin to tell you how wonderful Central Coast Waldorf (Wishing Well) and Waldorf education has been in my son’s personal development. The school allowed and encouraged him to think critically, to be creative, independent, kind, inquisitive, and courageous. He loves school and has always felt cared for and part of a warm community while learning and growing. I am also incredibly grateful to be part of the Wishing Well community. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!!!"

  • Acknowledging the threefold nature of the student, having body, soul, and spirt.

  • Cultivating a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Supporting teachers with personal and professional development, and the pedagogical practices to realize these aims.
  • Carrying this mission into our school’s growth and bringing it to our surrounding communities.
