Central Coast Waldorf School partners with both new and returning families to make a Waldorf education as accessible and sustainable as possible through our needs‑based tuition adjustment program. About one in four CCWS students receives some level of tuition adjustment each year, reflecting our shared commitment to balancing family capacity with the financial health of our small, community‑supported school.
If you feel called to be at CCWS (whether you are joining us for the first time or continuing your journey here) but are unsure whether full tuition is realistic, we encourage you to apply rather than assume CCWS is out of reach. Our process is confidential, needs‑based, and considers a wide range of circumstances, including housing costs, number of children, and other financial obligations.
To apply for tuition adjustment, please complete the online application through the SSS Family Portal by creating or logging into your account and submitting your information and required documents. There is a $45 non‑refundable application fee, and you will be asked to upload your most recent tax return, W‑2s (if applicable), and documentation that helps us understand your family’s financial picture.

Families in California can now withdraw up to $10,000 per student annually from their 529 college funds for K-12 tuition (per student). Talk to your tax professional about this option, we cannot advise on tax matters.
