Central Coast Waldorf School of the Central Coast offers rolling admissions and accepts new students throughout the school year, as space allows. Choosing a school is one of the most significant decisions you will make for your child and your family. Whether you are new to Waldorf education or transferring from another Waldorf school, we are here to assist you as you make decisions about your child’s future and education. Please read a bit about our age / grade placement policy here.

Our admissions process is as follows:

  1. Spend time getting to know us and learn a bit about Waldorf Education. Looking around our website or reading more about Waldorf Education can help your family have a sense of who we are and what we're all about. If you like what you see and read, then....

  2. Complete an Inquiry FormCompleting this form establishes first contact with the school. Your family will receive a follow-up email within 1-2 days after completing the inquiry form. This step gives us some initial information about your student and your family, so that we can best meet your needs right from the start. This is a good opportunity to take note of our Age & Grade Placement Policy (students must turn six by June 1 for 1st Grade enrollment).

  3. Visit us! After our office has initiated communication with your family, we'll set up a time for you to come visit our campus (either by attending a regularly scheduled tour  and information session or our annual Open House). We'll spend time together discussing the philosophical perspective and developmental picture of the child that provides the pedagogical foundation of Waldorf Education. We'll share how Central Coast Waldorf School uniquely meets the needs of the developing child, as well as several logistical and practical details of campus rhythm and school culture & policies.

  4. Apply:  After visiting with us, families who would like to enroll are invited to complete an application. A $75 non-refundable application fee is required for each application. Once we receive your application, either the office or a teacher will be in touch to follow-up with any questions. Grades students who are applying mid-year will be asked to attend 3-5 consecutive visitation days.

  5. Admissions: Once a mutual decision has been made by the school and the family that admission is the right next step and is in the best interest of the student, the family, the classroom, and the school, the enrollment process begins. A Tuition Agreement is prepared by our office, to be completed in Ravenna, our 3rd party platform for admissions, contracts, tuition payments, and other services (such as Extended Care).

If you have any questions along the way, please contact us, here.
