Opening Statement
Central Coast Waldorf School is seeking a warm, organized, and professional Office Coordinator to support our Administrative Director and Business Manager and to contribute to the smooth daily operations of our vibrant school community. This full-time role is ideal for someone who thrives in a flexible, collaborative environment and enjoys a blend of administrative, operational, and interpersonal tasks.
About
Central Coast Waldorf School is a vibrant school with 130 children, from preschool through 8th grade. We are a 17-year-old school with healthy enrollment, strong community support and we are certified by WECAN and AWSNA. We offer specialty programs in Spanish, Math, Handwork, Movement, Strings Ensemble, and Education Support. We are proud to have a highly experienced and committed faculty, along with a supportive and engaged parent body. We are committed to providing a well-rounded, holistic education that nurtures the intellectual, emotional, and creative growth of our students. Location: Our school is located in Los Osos, a charming bayside community just 15 minutes from San Luis Obispo. Families from surrounding coastal towns such as Morro Bay, Cayucos, Cambria, San Luis Obispo and greater San Luis Obispo county, make up our school community. The area offers abundant outdoor activities, including beach excursions, hiking, biking, surfing and exploration of a nearby state park. It is beautiful here!
Essential Job Duties
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide general office managerial tasks and ensure a welcoming and professional front desk experience.
- Communicate effectively via email, phone, and in-person with faculty and families.
- Maintain organized records for students and staff; manage filing systems.
- Enter daily attendance records.
- Manage school supply inventory and handle ordering and purchasing needs.
- Support newsletter creation, Friday update and school communications.
- Assist with enrollment and admissions-related tasks.
- Maintain and update contact information databases.
- Support outreach and marketing efforts, including materials production and social media.
- Provide before school care for students who need to be dropped off early
- Care for students who come into the office.
- Handle mail retrieval, timekeeping submissions, and onboarding of new hires.
- Keep the office space clean, orderly, and functional.
- Perform additional duties as needed (substitution, recess duties, etc.)
Employment Details
- Schedule: Monday - Friday
- Hours: 35 - 40 hours / week; 7:30am - 3:30pm
- Location: Central Coast Waldorf School, Los Osos, CA
- Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 / hour, based on qualifications and experience

Qualifications
- Personable and professional communication skills
- Strong organizational and detail-oriented mindset
- Reliable and timely follow-through with excellent tracking abilities
- Proficiency with Google Workplace
- Experience working with children
- Ability to take initiative and work independently in a dynamic environment
- Flexible and responsive to a variety of daily needs
- Familiarity with Ravenna, SoSimple and/or social media platforms is a plus
- Waldorf teacher certificate, Ca. Teacher credential, Early Childhood Education credits and knowledge of Waldorf Education are desirable but not required
- Clear fingerprints, background check, CPR certified
