First XC Meet of 2025!

GO CCWS DRAGONS!
We had an exciting first meet of the season at Atascadero Lake Park this Wednesday, September 24, 2025. We are so proud of our cross country team for their hard work and courage to jump into this year's season with enthusiasm and team spirit!
Our team enjoyed some quick pre-race cuddles with some adorable bunny spectators:
The 5th grade girls kicked off the 1/2 mile race with grace and finished in style with Sloane Bean clearing the finish line in just over 4 minutes and Roux Radakovich a few seconds after!
Marlowe Bean rocked it as the SOLO CCWS runner (repreSENT!) for the Middle School 1/2 mile, facing off with 7th and 8th graders like a champ, finishing in 4:04!
The boys were on their GAME today, racing the full mile with the middle school crew against 7th & 8th graders and finishing in 2nd (Jude Raichart in 6:44), 3rd (Clive Drebenstedt in 6:57): & 4th (Devansh Patel in 7:23) for ALL of the 5th grade!
WOOHOO! Well done gentlemen!
Thank you for the family support, these kids were amazing! And special thanks to Kara Lewis & Shawn Bean who dedicated their afternoon to driving, supporting and cheering on our CCWS team in style.
